The Kansas Housing Association and the Kansas Housing Resources Corporation have again teamed up to offer a Fair Housing Act and accessibility policy training session this Fall. The course will be presented by the E&A Team.

The E&A Team, a nationally recognized industry expert, will explain the regulations and answer questions to help you understand Accessibility as it relates to affordable housing. Compliance with the Fair Housing Act design and construction requirements can be complicated and E&A will cover the Act’s accessibility requirements, Disability Rights Laws, Fair Housing enforcement, and how to make housing accessible through accommodations & modifications.

We urge and encourage developers, contractors, architects, lenders, construction managers, and others to attend this important compliance training session.

“Accessibility is required by law to be included in the design of tax credit developments. However, we continue to see projects designed and constructed that do not meet the Fair Housing Act Standards.” For more information and registration information go to: www.kansashousingassociation.com

Check-in begins at 9:00 a.m. on November 5th

Training session begins at 9:30 a.m. and will end at 3:30 p.m.

A mid-morning break and lunch will be furnished with your registration

At the conclusion of the training session we will hold a brief panel discussion on escalating construction costs.

Training session attendance cost is KHA member - $175.00 and Non-Member - $225.00.
